Day 236 of 365 Days of Silver ~~ Happy to Be Home

“Where thou art – that – is Home.”
~~ Emily Dickinson

“There is nothing like staying at home for real comfort.”
~~ Jane Austen

I had a really wonderful time in Brookfield and would have been happy to stay another day. Which is a blessing in itself because there were all those years where I was simply miserable when we went to R’s hometown, which just cycles because that made him unhappy that I wasn’t happy being where he loved to be, and then I felt horrible because I made him feel that way.

But with the purchase of the new (old) house, it is so much more comfortable. I do long for the plumbing to finally be fixed—we only have water for short moments because there are still multiple pipe leaks, but we’re almost there!

I love sitting on the front porch until late in the night and listening to the night sounds. It’s very inspirational.

And I got a whole lot of writing done! In just a day and a half with shopping and lots of together time I still got lots of writing done.

And now I am home watching television with my husband and Will, one of my best friends in the world, eating truly luscious pizza—Thai Chicken (it actually has peanuts on it!) and Prime Cut (which has tons of meat and cheese and bacon). Thanks for dinner Will–we didn’t have it in us to cook tonight!

By the way, I recommend the British Twilight Zone-like television series called Black Mirror.

Strawberry Rhubarb pie bought from the Amish store. Amazing. Because you buy it uncooked! OMGosh—it’s going to be wondrous!

Appreciate the good things in life! That’s what I say!

I’m happy to be home~~and I’ve got two!
