“When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.”
~~ Paulo Coelho
So I am so excited! This is amazing!
A week from this Sunday I got to Midwest Men’s Festival, the event that inspired Summer Lover, and I will be gone for twelve days. This is like my thirteenth year going. My year revolves around this even. I would lose my job before I would miss going to MMF.
But I was going to have a dilemma. It’s out in the country in pretty much the middle of nowhere at this private campground. Cell phone coverage is atrocious, you have to take the road to the tip top of the grounds and then drive way down to the xxx side to make a call.
How was I going to be able to post my blog entries???
Once I get to camp I don’t like to leave. Well, except for Tuesday. I arrive on Sunday before the event begins. Then on Tuesday, the first official day, I go with the food crew into town for several hours and help shop for all the food for the ten days of the event. When I get back I rarely if ever leave. I rarely wear “boy clothes” once I get back from shopping—boy clothes meaning shirt or pants. It’s sarongs or sarong-like clothes for the duration. And except for one night I stick with the vegetarian menu provided. It’s all part of the power and mystery and spirituality of Midwest Men’s Festival.
So my dilemma. I certainly didn’t want to drive into town and try and find a library or place with free wifi…. That would take an hour and a half to two hours every day.
Well the Universe lined up right again—it doesn’t conspire to do us good—and I have found a way! So I can continue to every single day post for the year I challenged myself for!
What a great day!
Namasté,
B.G. Thomas
