“Take full account of the excellencies which you possess, and in gratitude remember how you would hanker after them, if you had them not.”
~~ Marcus Aurelius
It’s late and I need to go to bed and—oh! oh! oh!—I’ve yet to write my blog. Sorry for those Constant Readers….
It’s short tonight…but surprisingnly easy.
It’s one of those without deep meaning…or is it?
It’s one of those that’s not profound…or is it?
It’s one that won’t need to be read again and again or thought over or mulled over.
It simply that I will go to bed tonight feeling grateful. There is a lot to be grateful for.
It started out with a quite simply amazing massage. Very good. Very deep. Knots undone. Very intimate. The touch was amazing. I feel connected to the whole Universe through that wonderful man.
Then I wrote wrote wrote!
Then I took an unprepared and spontaneous break and ran out to see Jurassic World again and I can easily say it was just as good the second time—if not better—than the first. One can argue it’s merits and its character depth all one wishes, but it has dinosaurs and well, as the Enlightened Stan Lee would say, “’Nuff said.”
Then it was write write write. A good four thousand words at least today and the last four days has given me something like 15K and that’s just amazing.
And it ended with a sweet new friend that I feel very close to listening to me blab—because I needed to. Now isn’t that fantastic?
Speaking of the last week, the Supreme Court of the United States has decreed that all citizens of this country are in fact created equal and all should have the right to marry who they love. Which means it’s not “One Man and One Woman” marriage any more and it’s not “Same-Sex” marriage….now it’s just called “Marriage.” And that’s pretty f*cking amazing.
And this week, R and I had our one year wedding anniversary. One year legally married that is.
And the damn has broken and in two weeks I’ve written somewhere around 30 thousand words.
And one of my favorite bars has started carrying deep fried tacos again and I still lost weight after eating FOUR of them! Oh, joy!
I mean, giiirrrrrllll!!! I have a ton to be thankful for.
I think it is easy to say that life is pretty sweet.
It’s all in the way you look at it.
