And why do you worry about clothes? Consider the lilies in the field and how they grow. They don’t work or spin yarn, but I tell you that not even Solomon in all of his splendor was clothed like one of them.
~~ Matthew 6:28-29 (ISV)
So it’s come that time of the year where the lily-phase of my garden has started. And what a joy it is to pull up in front of the house after a long day at work and see that the profusion has started.
Funny that they often go in waves by color. Right now it is these deep pink, boardring on ruby (the picture just doesn’t do them justice). A single white has bloomed as well as a few of the deep glowing oranges. Soon their will be a virtual riot of color. And so, like these, are so big!
I just love my lilies. They make me smile.
And like Sarah Jane meeting me at the door barking and wagging her tail so hard her entire body is rocking back and forth, seeing these beautiful flowers when I get home erases the “badness” of any day.
I am truly truly blessed!
